The main functions of the battery energy storage connectors are: connecting batteries in series or parallel, connecting auxiliary equipment such as control devices and inverters, and connecting different types of batteries at different voltages. The battery storage connector is an electronic device that is used as a communication channel between an electrical load or an electrical power source and another device. The connector also serves as a mechanical connection between two devices or circuits. The connectors are available in many shapes, sizes, styles and types. They are designed to connect two different electrical circuits with each other.

The functions of battery storage connectors include:

1. Connecting and disconnecting the batteries from the inverter/grid.

2. Controlling the state of charge of each battery.

3. Monitoring the status of each battery, e.g., state of charge, open circuit voltage, etc.

4. Protecting against reverse current flow from a discharged electrode by means of a diode connected between the negative terminal and earth ground for each battery connected to an inverter and providing overcurrent protection for those batteries connected to an inverter by sensing current flow through each individual battery pole connector and interrupting it if excessive current flows through any one of them

Battery connectors are an essential component used in various applications such as wind turbines, electric vehicles, solar power plants and telecommunication systems. The demand for battery connectors will increase substantially with increasing demand for chemical energy storage systems BESS. This will drive market growth during the forecast period (2019-2025).
