We ranked 26th among all the Engineering College in Tamil Nadu. We stood First in the Coimbatore district. We achieved this feet within just three years of time.
In order to provide Industry Exposure and to cultivate the habits of Self learning we have a systematic program called Mind Tree mentorship Program and Online Career mentorship program.
From the first batch of students we placed 164 students out of 195 eligible students in Various MNC companies like Accenture, CTS, TCS, CSC, Value Source Technologies, American Mega trends, Applexus IT Solutions, Element K, CSS Corp, etc.
This batch till now we placed 135 students out of 208 eligible students in companies like Infosys, Accenture, CTS, Birlsoft, Oracle financial services, Value Source Technologies, American Mega trends, Zifo, CSS Corp.
We are providing the following Value added courses to the students: C, C++, Java, Linux, Oracle DBMS, Cisco CCNA, SAP, Energy auditing, VLSI through Advanced VLSI Design Center, Bangalore, Embedded systems Design – Diploma in Embedded system Design in partnership with M/S Tessolve and ELCOT.
SIET has 10 mbps Wi-Fi enabled connectivity. In order to provide access to the NPTEL online video lectures from institution like IIT and IISC, Bangalore were acquired for upgrading and updating the students knowledge base.
In order to improve our students practical experience, we signed MOU with Kyrgyz state technical University, Tamilnadu Agricultural University, Oracle, Cisco, BSNL, CODISSIA, Redhat, Zifo Technologies and Zeal labs.
We have conducted Industry focused events like Roadmap to Corporate, Young Achievers forum, Industry – Institution Interactions and Mock Placement Days to develop the students employability skill.
Three of our final year students got the opportunity to study M.S.Program in Uppsala University, Sweden with a scholarship of Rs10 Lacks.
Our students have leadership role in the corporate flagship programs such as Sri Shakthi leadership forum, Microsoft Student Partner program, Mozilla Student Partner program and the Google Ambassador program. They have traveled to many engineering colleges in Tamil nadu to evangelize about their respective corporate products.
