Tareq Alosh is an intellectual property litigation associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. His practice focuses on complex litigation, including patent, trademark, and copyright infringement disputes. Tareq has extensive experience in a range of technologies, including medical devices, industrial equipment, nanotechnology, composites, oil and gas processing, and thermal control devices.

Tareq had a significant career working in the federal government. Tareq was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for several years, where he earned his appointment as a Primary Examiner and was designated a technical expert and quality nominee. Tareq has also clerked for the Appellate Staff of the Civil Division at the U.S. Department of Justice, where he drafted briefs and mooted arguments for cases before federal courts of appeals. He has also performed research in the thermal and nanotechnology labs at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, for which he was named a John Mather Nobel Scholar.
