Software Technology Parks Of India

Software Technology Parks of India was established and registered as an Autonomous Society under the Societies Registration Act 1860, under the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India on 5th June 1991 with an objective to implement STP scheme, set-up and manage infrastructure facilities and provide other services like technology assessment and professional training. As on today STPI has already set up 44 STPI centrs across the country. STPIs main objective has been the promotion of software exports from the country. The services rendered by STPI for the software exporting community have been, Statutory services, data communications services, incubation facilities, training and value added services. STPI has played a key developmental role in the promotion of software exports with a special focus on SMEs and start up units.
